Zeke will be inactive against ATL on Sunday

The Cowboys will be without Ezekiel Elliott for Sunday’s game against the Falcons.

The team decided that he would not be active for the game and decided not to let him travel to Atlanta on Saturday.

Elliott started the game and scored the Cowboys’ first touchdown in San Francisco last week. But with Rico Dowdle expected to play and Dalvin Cook once again removed from the practice squad, these two will likely get the bulk of the carries on Sunday.

Elliott has 149 rushing yards on 48 carries (3.1 average) with two touchdowns this year.

The Cowboys are last in the NFL in rushing at 74.1 yards per game.

Elliott is the Cowboys’ third-leading rusher and has 9,053 career rushing yards in nine pro seasons.
