(Zach Lowe Podcast): JJ Redick Says Lakers Starting Lineup Will Feature D’lo, Reaves, LeBron, Rui, AD

The clip can be found at 56:11. JJ says that the lineup will be the lineup that went “23-10”, which was the record set by this particular starting lineup mentioned in the title.

I think this is the right lineup, especially since Vando is injury prone and may not be available or 100% fit to start the season.

The only big question about the starting lineup was Rui or Vando. Given Vando’s current injury problems, it makes sense to start Rui instead.

I like that in this case JJ uses data from a sample size of 33 matches, rather than subjective opinions and/or arbitrary statistics, to inform his decisions.
