Xavi Simons could leave PSG in 2025

So far, things are going well for Arne Slot and his Liverpool team, apart from the result against Nottingham Forest.

Despite the strict controls, the Dutchman is a beacon of calm in the Anfield dugout and that seems to have affected his players too.

Within a few games, Liverpool fans and opponents alike know what to expect when they play the Reds, and to be honest, there’s not much difference from when Jurgen Klopp was manager.

Liverpool target could leave current club in 2025

There is still a lot of pressure, sometimes even more, as Liverpool look to capitalise on their advantage.

They were a joy to watch and Slot should get all the credit for that.

There are likely to be one or two personnel changes this coming summer, either forced at Liverpool or otherwise.

According to Fabrizio Romano, they could also get lucky if it involves an earlier target.

“One of the players that was considered in Europe in the summer was definitely Xavi Simons. He has always been in the media and there have always been rumours,” he told CaughtOffside for his exclusive Daily Briefing.

“I always told you in the summer ‘Leipzig, Leipzig, Leipzig’, because they were pushing, and in the end the player decided to stay in Germany to give Leipzig a chance to win titles.

“He will officially return to PSG in the summer of 2025, but don’t forget this: the expectation is still that Xavi Simons will try something else.

“It’s purely a gamble at the moment as no club has anything planned for him, but top clubs will certainly continue to monitor his progress at Leipzig.

“I’m sure there’s a good chance that Xavi will leave PSG definitively in 2025, but that hasn’t been agreed with Liverpool or any other club yet.”
