Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has appeared in a new advert for the Amazon Prime show ‘The Boys’ as the show has returned with a new season which is now available to stream.

After Rhodes referred to “going all out for Homelander” during the press moment for the kickoff of Clash at the Castle, he now makes an even more direct reference.

Although the commercial shows footage of the actual show, compared to an unidentified person, any wrestling fan will immediately recognize who the faceless person is.

Cody Rhodes of course!

Rhodes has notably denied speculation that his AEW character and costumes were inspired by Homelander.

Below you can watch a video of the advertisement.

Rhodes recently commented on what it means to be a “whole” character in professional wrestling today, as well as his own thoughts on whether he would ever go dark.

In his comments, he noted that some fans may want Rhodes to play that role, but he’s not sure if they realize they’re asking for a “scorched earth” with this request.

There’s likely to be some spectacle at WWE’s live event Money in the Bank this Saturday, when Cody Rhodes teams up with Randy Orton and Kevin Owens to take on The Bloodline.

It has not yet been announced which three Bloodline members will be taking on Rhodes’ team. Solo Sikoa recently expanded his new Bloodline with Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and Jacob Fatu.
