World Fastpitch Tournament Comes to South Surrey

Men’s tournament brings 1,000 players from over 10 countries to Softball City in South Surrey

Softball City in South Surrey will soon be a great place to watch exciting fastpitch games.

The 2024 Men’s World Fastpitch Tournament will take place August 10-17. Athletes and fans from around the world will gather for a week of thrilling fastball action, showcasing top talent from Canada, Australia and beyond.

“We are delighted to welcome the Men’s World Fastpitch Tournament to Surrey,” said Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke in a press release.

“As a sporting destination, Surrey is proud to welcome 1,000 players from over 10 countries for an exciting week of competition. The council and I look forward to cheering on all of the exceptional athletes as they compete for top honours in the men’s fastpitch tournament.”

The international event, organized by the Canadian Amateur Sport Society, promises to captivate audiences with both on-field action and a variety of family-friendly activities.

“Hosting the Surrey 2024 ISC Men’s Fastpitch World Tournament is a pivotal moment to showcase club-level excellence in Western Canada,” said Chris Santos, President of the International Softball Congress. “The event will generate interest and drive growth in men’s fastpitch globally.”

John Stuart, coach of the Canadian team, praised the facilities.

“The facility at Softball City is one of the best places a player can play. With great fields, first-class clubhouse facilities and breathtaking views, it sets the stage for an unparalleled fastpitch experience.”
