The expanded 2024 Women’s Asia Cup tournament kicks off in Dambulla on July 19.

The tournament will feature eight teams, including four full members of the International Cricket Council (ICC) and four others who qualified through the ACC Women’s Premier Cup.

The 2024 Women’s Asia Cup, the ninth chapter of the tournament, will be played in the T20I format and will be a useful preparatory stopover for teams heading to the Women’s T20 World Cup in Bangladesh in October.

Groupings for the 2024 Women’s Asia Cup:

Group 1: India, Nepal, Pakistan and United Arab Emirates.

Group 2: Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Thailand.
