Woman fatally shot in Fall River identified by authorities

Authorities are investigating a violent incident in which a woman was fatally shot and a man was stabbed Wednesday morning in Fall River.

About 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Fall River police responding to a 911 call were dispatched to 490 Dickinson St., where they found a 55-year-old man with multiple stab wounds and a woman, identified as 42-year-old Remy Aull. , suffering from a single gunshot wound, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.

Aull was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where she was pronounced dead around 10:15 p.m., the district attorney’s office said.

The man’s injuries were not life-threatening, Fall River police said.

The incident is being investigated by state police detectives assigned to the district attorney’s office, Fall River police and prosecutors from the homicide unit, authorities said.
