Witness appeal as woman sexually assaulted by cyclist in Slough

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted by a man on a bicycle in Slough.

The victim, aged in her 20s, was targeted at the pedestrian crossing in Wexham Road, just prior to the junction with Diamond Road, at about 8.15pm on Tuesday, July 9.

As the woman was walking along the road, a cyclist rode towards her and then inappropriately touched her, before cycling away.

The victim also suffered some scratches on her neck.

The offender is described as being Asian, around 25-years-old, with a short beard. He was wearing a cap with a chevron on it and a brown jacket.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Georgia Hall said: “No woman should be made to feel unsafe or threatened while walking home and I want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or who could have seen this man on his bike in the Wexham Road area around 8.15pm.

“In particular, the lady told us a car passed by at the moment she was inappropriately touched and the driver beeped their horn. If that was you, please can I ask you to get in touch with us as soon as possible.

“Anyone with information should call 101 or you can submit information on our website, quoting the reference 43240329019.

“If you have any dash-cam footage or CCTV which may assist us, you can also submit this by going to our dedicated online portal for this investigation.”
