Just over a month ago, she reached the final of Roland Garros, becoming the first woman since Serena Williams in 2016 to reach the Wimbledon final, after doing the same at Roland Garros.

She also won two singles titles on the WTA Challenger Tour, eight singles titles and one doubles title on the ITF Circuit.

Jasmine entered this year’s grass court season without ever having won a tour-level main event. It was no surprise then that her mother Jacqueline, father Ugo and brother William watched on with pride from the players’ box.

Jasmine is from Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, Tuscany, and trains at the Mirafiume Tennis Club in Bagni di Lucca. Her father is Italian, but her mother is Polish, while her maternal grandmother is Ghanaian.

Jasmine has reached a new career high at No. 5 in the world, winning 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 in her most recent match and becoming the first Italian woman to ever reach a Wimbledon final. Speaking to a WTA insider about her family, she said: “I remember my mom and dad telling me you have to pick one sport to do.”

She added: “In Bagni Di Lucca there was only tennis or a swimming pool, and because my uncle played tennis I decided to play.” Jasmine also has a close bond with her coach, former professional tennis player Renzo Furlan, who often features in cute snaps on the player’s Instagram page.

Wimbledon hopeful Jasmine’s tennis career actually began at the tender age of five, with her taking the plunge when she was 15, moving to another city to further her sporting career. Now, after a stellar run in 2024 that has seen her reach two Grand Slam finals, Jasmine has earned a pretty penny from her sport, with an estimated net worth of a cool £5million.

In addition to earning money from tournaments, Jasmine has also worked with sportswear brand Asics. When she is not on the court, Jasmine prefers to keep her private life private.

For now, it appears that the 28-year-old is single as she has not publicly commented on her relationship status or love life.

However, Paolini has previously admitted to having a “secret wish”. She once confessed that she would like to be taller to improve her serve. But she accepted that she needed to improve other aspects of her game to make up for this.

“I wish I was taller because I could serve better, but I think I accept that I have to do it with my own body,” Paolini told the Tennis Actu TV channel on YouTube. “I’m small, okay. We try not to make a problem of it. We try to do something different to improve other aspects, like serving. I wish I was taller, but it’s okay, I’m not. So we have to do with what I have.”
