Wimbledon 2024 Match Order and Friday Schedule

It is the day of the men’s semi-finals at Wimbledon, in which Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic try to gain revenge for last year’s final at the All England Club.

Alcaraz faces fifth seed Daniil Medvedev as the 21-year-old Spaniard continues his title defence. The reigning champion defeated Medvedev in straight sets in a one-sided semi-final at this stage last year, but the Russian was in impressive form in stunning world number one Jannik Sinner in the previous round.

Djokovic was given a walkover into the semi-finals after Alex de Minaur withdrew through injury, with the seven-time champion set to face Lorenzo Musetti. Djokovic is through to his 13th Wimbledon semi-final and 49th Grand Slam final, while Musetti is making his first. The 22-year-old Italian defeated Taylor Fritz in five sets in the quarter-finals.

Elsewhere, Britain’s Alfie Hewitt will attempt to reach the final of the men’s wheelchair doubles, taking on third-seeded Gustavo Fernandez. Hewitt will then be in action alongside Gordon Reid in the semi-final of the men’s wheelchair doubles against Dutch pairs Tom Egberin and Maikel Scheffers.

The winners of the two men’s singles semi-finals will compete for the title in the final on Sunday, which starts at 2 p.m.
