Willian: Fulham winger leaves after two years

Willian has confirmed he will leave Fulham after two seasons.

The 36-year-old winger joined the Premier League club on a free transfer in September 2022 after leaving Brazilian side Corinthians, where he began his professional career.

Willian confirmed his departure from Fulham in a lengthy statement on Instagram, having scored 10 goals in 67 games.

“I want to thank Fulham for the two fantastic years,” Willian posted.

“It was special to return to the Premier League and be part of this historic club and the wonderful fans.

“I have experienced great moments and this club will always remain in my heart.”

Willian played in the Premier League for 10 years, always for clubs in London.

He played for Chelsea for seven years between 2013 and 2020, where he won two Premier League titles, the FA Cup and the Europa League. Willian then spent a year at Arsenal after leaving Chelsea, before returning to Brazil and joining Corinthians in 2021.
