Willian: Former Chelsea, Fulham and Arsenal winger joins Olympiakos

Former Chelsea and Arsenal winger Willian, who left Fulham last summer, has joined Olympiakos as a free agent.

The 36-year-old Brazilian left the Cottagers when his contract expired last summer and has now made the switch to the Greek Super League leaders.

Olympiakos owner Evangelos Marinakis, who also owns Nottingham Forest, was spotted with Willian at Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.

Willian has made 67 appearances for Fulham over the past two seasons, scoring 10 goals, after joining from Brazilian side Corinthians in 2022.

He played for Chelsea for seven years, between 2013 and 2020, winning five major trophies, including two Premier League titles, the FA Cup, the EFL Cup and the UEFA Europa League. He then moved to Arsenal, where he had a disappointing season.

Willian spoke to BBC Sport last week about his future, saying he believes he can play until he is 40.
