Why don’t people like Bryson DeChambeau?

Most fans don’t have a good feeling about Bryson because they find his personality a bit unlikable. “He was very whiny on tour for a few years, had that ‘digging animal’ debacle because of an anthill near his ball, called Augusta a par 67 and barely made it to 75, to name a few. He looks pretty good on his YouTube channel though,” one fan wrote on Reddit.

“He comes across as a know-it-all with his initial physical approach to golf, but then he bulks up and sounds like a muscle guru when he posts a par 67 at Augusta, but none of that shows in his game. He always fails. Then you think he’s just talking, but he’s not doing anything,” said another.

Some fans don’t like that Bryson always blames everything but himself. “It never seems like it’s his fault. The driver sucks, the lie sucks, the greens were out, etc. He cares so much and talks so much that you always find something you don’t like,” said one.

However, some people try to defend Bryson by pointing out that he is quite young. One wrote in 2023: “Never forget how young they are; he’s only 29 so he (and others) don’t have a certain level of maturity and have spent their entire lives in a golf bubble and then got thrown into the public eye! I’d say he’s definitely very intense in his career, but from what I’ve seen of him and his fans/kids at tournaments, he’s a really nice guy! We love him!”

Bryson DeChambea’s controversies include a dirty feud and inappropriate comments.

Bryson DeChambea is controversial on a number of issues, to varying degrees of severity. The first time he angered the crowd was when his ego got too big and he called Augusta a ‘par 67’, which is far below what it actually is.

Brooks Koepka and Bryson also started feuding, giving golf fans a choice. Brooks apparently made some comments about slow golfers that Bryson didn’t like. Bryson wanted to address the problem, but the caddies told him to calm down.

si Eventually, a video leaked of them displaying a serious attitude. Brooks seemed to be rolling his eyes in 2021, but now they seem to have ironed things out or they just don’t care anymore.

Bryson also got in trouble for some comments he made about September 11th. He was asked about LIV Golf, specifically its ties with the Saudi government. Some believe the Saudi government financed the terrorist attack.

“What I can say is that they are trying to do good for the world and present themselves in a light that hasn’t been seen in a long time. No one is perfect, but we are all trying to improve our lives,” DeChambeau said Bleacher ReportHowever, some people interpreted this as a trivialization of September 11th.
