He built a match-winning partnership of 110 runs for the second wicket along with skipper Markram, who scored 46 runs from 32 balls (four fours and one six).

Rabada finished as the highest wicket-taker in the match, finishing with brilliant figures of 4-0-18-3, dismissing Steven Taylor, Nitish Kumar and a set Harmeet Singh. For the US, Harmeet and Saurabh Netravalkar finished with two wickets each. The latter threw a brilliant spell of 4-0-21-2.

For his brilliant batting, De Kock was named Player of the Match in South Africa’s first match of the Super 8s of the T20 World Cup.
