Who could return punts and kickoffs for Anthony Evans for Georgia football?

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Georgia football will be without punt and kick returner Anthony Evans for Saturday’s game against Florida.

There are well over half a dozen players warming up to fill his spot.

On punt returns, Southern Cal transfer Michael Jackson, safety Malaki Starks, wide receiver Dominic Lovett and wide receiver Sacovie White appeared to be the players in line. They caught balls from a machine.

Starks was the punt returner twice in the first quarter.

Before kickoff, wide receiver Dillon Bell, running back Nate Frazier, running back Cash Jones and running back Trevor Etienne caught balls from the foot of kicker Charlie Ham.

Evans, who has an undisclosed injury, is third in the SEC with a punt return average of 8.4 and a long of 46. He also has an average of 17.5 yards on kickoffs.

Jackson had 70 return yards on 11 punts for Southern Cal in 2022.
