The Champions League is back and we have a huge first week of matches ahead of us with Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal and Aston Villa all in action.

This season’s competition will be unlike anything we’ve ever seen before, as UEFA have scrapped the old group stage in favour of an all-new 36-team competition.

For the first time in the competition, the opening matches will be spread over three evenings instead of two. Six matches will be played on the traditional match days of Tuesday and Wednesday, plus Thursday.

Every match will be broadcasted live for fans to enjoy, so you won’t miss a single match.

Here’s everything you need to know about where to watch this week’s Champions League matches, which will be broadcast on six different channels.

To manage match crowds and ensure all bases are covered, TNT Sports, Amazon Prime and BBC Sport will all be covering the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League in the UK.

Amazon Prime is the newcomer to the Champions League broadcasting scene, having acquired the rights to one match per week thanks to a new TV deal.

The streaming platform will take first place every Tuesday, while experienced football channel TNT Sports will broadcast the remaining matches.

TNT Sports is the main broadcaster of the Champions League this year, broadcasting more than 185 matches throughout the season.

For the next three years, BBC Sport will broadcast highlights of every Champions League match after each round.
