When is Core Keeper 1.0 coming out?

After almost two years, the sandbox adventure game Core custodian is finally out of Early Access. With the full launch, there are plenty of new features to behold, unraveling the secrets of the old core. We’re here to dig into Core Keeper 1.0’s announce release date and reveal upcoming content.

Core Keeper 1.0 Release Date and Features

Core Keeper 1.0 will be released on August 27, 2024. The date also marks the game’s official console debut, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. According to the Nintendo page, the title will also launch on Switch on September 17, 2024.

The Core Keeper 1.0 content reveal trailer confirms a new, customizable world generation feature, allowing you to explore your favorite biomes. Additionally, you’ll be able to try out two new combat styles: Warlock and Mage. Discover a unique magic system that requires the power of mana and unlock additional skills for character builds. You’ll also discover a new talent tree for Magic and Summoning, which aids in attack damage and mana regeneration.

The developer, Pugstorm, has given us the details about Core Keeper’s co-op and cross-platform availability. While online multiplayer is still being worked on, there are no plans for local co-op or cross-platform support. On the other hand, multiplayer will be revamped for PC crossplay as the team looks into the new PlayFab Party.

If you have played Core custodian In Early Access, Pugstorm recommends starting a new world to smoothly transition into the 1.0 experience. Old worlds will be renamed to “Classic,” indicating that they are an unsupported version for the full release. You can still open these builds afterwards, but they will not contain any 1.0 content.
