The next Summer Olympics, after Paris 2024, are scheduled for 2028.

This is what we know so far.

When are the next Olympic Games?

The 2028 Olympic Games will begin on July 14, 2028, and will end on July 30, 2028. They will be followed by the Paralympic Games, which will be held from August 15 to 27.

Where will the next Olympic Games take place?

The next Olympic Games will be held in Los Angeles, California in four years.

After other cities withdrew, the International Olympic Committee decided to award the 2028 Games to LA.

Los Angeles previously hosted the Olympic Games in 1932 and 1984 and will become the third city – after London and Paris in 2024 – to host the Summer Games three times.

How can I get tickets?

The ticketing process for the 2028 Olympic Games has not yet begun. But you can click here for more information.

What about the 2032 and 2036 Olympic Games?

The 2032 Games will be held in Brisbane, Australia.

The bidding process for the 2036 Games is underway. Turkey, India, Indonesia and Chile are among the countries considering hosting the event.

Regarding a possible bid for the 2036 Olympic Games, HRH Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al Faisal, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Sports, said: “I believe we now have everything in place to host any tournament that comes our way… I am not in a position to comment on specific bids, but I can tell you that we are always keeping an eye on different events and sports venues that we could work with.

“We recently secured the right to host the 2029 Asian Winter Games and two years ago we also secured the 2034 Asian Games. Our focus now is on building on our existing world-class infrastructure and preparing new infrastructure for that.”
