Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana has denied claims he faked a phone call to avoid the club’s fans.

In a video posted online, Fofana can be seen picking up his phone and calling the team’s coach after Chelsea’s 6-2 win over Wolves, as fans wait for the Blues players to turn up.

Malo Gusto was seen interacting with his supporters, but Fofana received criticism online from some supporters.

The 23-year-old player has since clarified the situation, stating that he received a phone call and put his bag on the team’s coach, after which he came back outside and took pictures with fans.

Fofana wrote on X: ‘Hahaha people are crazy. I got a phone call and then I wanted to put my bag in the bus. Then I went to take pictures with the fans’.
