War Raiders return to WWE on Raw

There were a few weeks of short teaser videos to prepare us for their return, teasers hinting that the team would be returning with an old name. And sure enough, the performers formerly known as The Viking Raiders are back in WWE and once again using the names they entered NXT with, The War Raiders.

They made their return during this week’s episode Monday evening Raw in St. Louis, in what turned out to be a first-round match of a world tag team championship tournament, with the winners earning the next shot at The Judgment Day titles. Erik and Ivar defeated Otis and Akira Tozawa of Alpha Academy.

As Wade Barrett put it, remove the face paint and fur and you’re left with these guys, a dominant duo that just runs through people. They also debuted a new finish called the Fallout, where Erik throws a man in the air for Ivar to splash off the top rope.

They’re back, folks.
