play

As we look back on the 2023-2024 school year, we can say that there were some memorable achievements in high school sports on the SouthCoast for female athletes.

We are working on a project that you, our readers, can help with.

We would like to select a female high school student of the year 2023-2024 from the SouthCoast.

We will also select a High School Sports Team of the Year, High School Coach of the Year, and a Male High School Athlete of the Year, all covering the fall, winter, and spring seasons for the 2023-24 school year.

For the title of Sportswoman of the Year, we have narrowed down the list to nine choices: one from each school in the region.

Now we would like you to vote for the person you think should be crowned Female Athlete of the Year. Your vote will be part of the formula we use to select the winner. Our staff will also weigh in and we will ultimately have an overall winner.

(Editor’s note: Voting is open until Wednesday, July 31 at 8 p.m.)
