Superstar Taylor Swift gave a shout-out to her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, during her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards on Wednesday night.

After she and Post Malone won the Video of the Year award for their hit single Two weeksSwift thanked a long list of people, including Kelce:

Swift noted that Kelce applauded after every take of the video, adding, “Everything this man touches turns into happiness and joy and magic, so I want to thank him for adding that to our footage.”

Just the mention of Kelce generated an overwhelmingly positive response from the audience, only further cementing the notion that he and Swift are among the most popular celebrity couples in the world.

Travis’ show of support on the set of Taylor’s music video was fitting, as Taylor has been attending Chiefs games throughout the 2023 season and has often been in attendance to cheer on Travis.

That was also true in last season’s Super Bowl, when Swift hugged Kelce on the field after the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in overtime.

The Chiefs are looking to become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls. Swift is also in contention for a third win, having won her second straight VMA for best artist of the year on Wednesday.

Swift also completed the three-peat with her third consecutive Video of the Year award, honoring her videos for Too Good: The Short Film in 2022 and Anti-hero until 2023.

Kelce was absent from the VMAs, where he’s preparing for the Chiefs’ Week 2 game. Still, it seems likely that Swift will be back out there supporting her boyfriend when Kansas City hosts the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
