NBA fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the upcoming Start 5 documentary series on Netflix, of which they got a first taste on Tuesday.

Netflix has the trailer for Start 5 ahead of its October 9 release date featuring NBA stars LeBron James, Jayson Tatum, Jimmy Butler, Anthony Edwards and Domantas Sabonis:

Netflix revealed Start 5 as the latest installment in last month’s long list of critically acclaimed sports series. The 10-part series will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the 2023-2024 season from the perspective of each player.

“The series captures their battles on and off the field as they pursue greatness, overcome injuries and balance the demands of their family and their legacy,” a press release said.

Fans will enjoy what James went through to stay healthy in his 21st season in the NBA, and how Edwards handled his rise to superstardom after establishing himself as one of the future faces of the league. Butler and Sabonis had up-and-down seasons with their respective teams, while Tatum helped lead the Boston Celtics to the 2024 NBA championship.

Start 5 will try to achieve the same success as Netflix’s other sports programs, such as Quarterback, Formula 1: Driving to survive, Simone Biles Rising, Full swing and more.
