Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce landed a role in Happy Gilmore 2and it seems like he’s already into his role.

Kelce took to the course to show off his powerful golf swing in the style of the title character made famous by Adam Sandler:

Sandler responded to Kelce’s swing in the final episode of the New heights Podcast:

Kelce first expressed his desire to be part of Happy Gilmore 2 in May, stating that he would accept any role offered to him.

“I didn’t even know there was a vacancy for Happy Gilmore 2but if that’s the case, I’m a (fucking) extra,” he said at the time. “Anything I can do to get around Happy Gilmore or an Adam Sandler movie or set, count me in.”

Kelce got his wish, as Sandler confirmed during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last week that the three-time Super Bowl champion will play a role.

“We got something fun for Travis,” Sandler said. “He’s coming. He’s a really nice guy. You guys would love him in person. What a big, handsome guy. Funny and cool as hell. He’s a stud and he’s so funny.”

Sandler added that filming for Happy Gilmore 2 will begin in the coming weeks, coinciding with the start of the 2024 NFL season. It will be fun to see how Kelce balances his burgeoning acting career with helping the Chiefs win another title.
