Victim injured in hammer attack near Tulane campus, police say

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A hammer attack near Tulane University’s downtown campus injured one victim Sunday evening (Nov. 10), police said.

The attack occurred around 5:50 p.m. when the victim reported being hit in the head with a hammer by one of the two assailants while walking near Duncan Plaza or behind the New Orleans Public Library on Loyola Avenue.

The identity of the attackers is currently unknown.
