Victim identified in fatal boating accident that left 1 dead and 2 injured

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities continue to investigate a fatal single-vessel boating accident that occurred Saturday in Card Sound.

On Sunday, authorities identified the victim as 21-year-old Eytan M. Genoune of Boynton Beach.

Three people were ejected from the 35-foot Nor-Tech boat Saturday morning due to “a sudden turn,” according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

According to the FWC, two people were pulled from the water and rushed to a nearby hospital.

A third person, Genoune, did not survive and died when he was pulled from the water, authorities said.

The FWC said the investigation remains active and a final report will be available once it is completed.
