Vicksburg man charged with aggravated domestic violence after stabbing sends two to hospital – The Vicksburg Post

Shortly after 5 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, Merit Health River Region reported a male patient to the emergency room with a stab wound to his upper torso. A few minutes later, Vicksburg police officers were dispatched to the area of ​​the Churchill Dr. intersection. and Indiana Ave. sent to respond to a female assault victim lying in the street.

VPD said officers determined both individuals are involved in the same case, which is currently being considered a domestic violence incident.

The male subject, Daron Evans, 28, of Vicksburg, was taken into custody after his release from the emergency room and has been charged with aggravated domestic violence assault. He is being held without bond until his first appearance in Vicksburg Municipal Court.

The female subject was transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson for treatment. Her condition is currently stable.
