UT Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian and his wife Loreal are getting a divorce

AUSTIN — U.S. Soccer head coach Steve Sarkisian and his wife Loreal have jointly announced that they are filing for divorce.

Sarkisian, 50, and Loreal, a wardrobe stylist, made the announcement public via posts on Instagram on Friday evening.

“After many heartfelt conversations, we have decided to amicably separate and jointly file for divorce,” they announced together. “We strive to remain the best of friends and are incredibly grateful for the love and support we have shared throughout our journey together.”

They went on to say that their respective careers “made it difficult to make time for each other, and this move will give us the time and space we need professionally, while continuing to support each other personally.”

Sarkisian is entering his fourth season as head coach of the Longhorns. This year’s team is considered a top 10 college football team and is favored to reach the SEC football championship game as one of the league’s top two teams.

They had no children.
