The Jamaican, who won EIGHT Olympic gold medals, ran an astonishing 9.58 seconds in the 100 meters in 2009.

And that same year, Bolt ran a new world record in the 200 meters with a time of 19.19.

These records remain intact to this day, with new Olympic champion Noah Lyles winning gold in the 100 meters with a time of 9.79.

However, some observers believe that Bolt’s achievements could ultimately be surpassed by a newcomer.

Australian athlete Gout is only 16 years old and has already broken Bolt’s world record in the 200 meters at the U20 World Championships.

He ran the distance in 20.60 seconds, improving Bolt’s record by one hundredth of a second.

The young man also ran the 100 meters in just 10.2 seconds.

Some believe that Gout could be the man to set new standards in the sport.

But American icon Gatlin thinks no one can come close to Bolt. And if they do, they will do it on their own.

The former sprinter was one of Bolt’s biggest rivals at the time.

Gatlin won gold in the 100 meters in Athens in 2004 and was often close to Bolt.

And he warned sprint fans not to compare Gout to the Jamaican legend.

Gatlin told the Ready Set Go podcast: “If you look at what Bolt has done, I’m not taking anything away from Gout Gout or whoever is doing their thing right now and dominating.

“When Bolt was a junior, he had the junior world record, and at that time, in 2004, this guy ran 19 low nine. 19.93 was his record, bro.

“If you say that to these guys today, he outshines them.

“When we say this person is next and that person is next, we give the microphone to the followers.

“Stop putting these young athletes on a path that is full of stress and pressure. Let them go out there and develop themselves.

“Let them say, ‘No, I’m Gout Gout, I’m going to be different. I’m (Letsile) Tebogo, I’m going to be different.'”
