Undefeated Zelim Zubairaev is another red-hot MMA prospect fighting out of Norway who’s forced to find competition abroad since MMA is still illegal in the country.

On September 7 he will enter the FCR cage for the second time to take on Stockholm fan favorite Nabbe Malki.

“I don’t know much about him but he looks like a good fighter. I’m happy to face him. I have a hard time finding opponents. I’m writing to people on Instagram, asking if they want to fight me. That’s not fun at all, but as long as I have someone to fight I’m happy,” Zubairaev recently told Frontkick’s sister site Maximum Sports.

“I don’t think the fight will go past the first round. There will be a finish, one hundred percent. I really hope Nabbe will enter the cage with me and have a crazy fight.”

Zelim Zubairaev wants UFC debut in 2025

With a 4-0 pro record and fights in Sweden, Luxembourg and Malta, Zubairaev is slowly but steadily building a fan base in Europe.

Being recognized as a fighter to be reckoned with is motivating for the undefeated 28-year-old.

“My plan is to fight as much as possible in 2024. In 2025 I will be in the UFC,” Zubairaev told Maximum Sports.
