UFC Vegas 94 Bonuses: Virna Jandiroba, Silva, Garcia and Amil Score Extra $50,000 Each From Dana White

Before the action heads to Manchester, England for another thrilling PPV, the UFC extravaganza made a stop at the Apex Facility in Enterprise, Nevada this Saturday for an all-Brazilian strawweight main event. Virna Jandiroba defeated fellow American Amanda Lemos to win her first UFC main event and earn Dana White’s $50k PON bonus check in the process.

‘Carcara’ handed the former title contender a stunning defeat, defeating her fellow Brazilian by second-round submission to extend her winning streak to four in a row. What’s more, the former Invicta FC strawweight champion earned White’s bonus for quickly dispatching Lemos in their five-round bout. In addition to Jandiroba, Bruno Silva, Hyder Amil and Steve Garcia also collected the bonuses.

All told, White’s generosity resulted in four PON bonuses. While Steve Garcia added another to the win column, extending the longest active knockout/TKO streak in the UFC, Hyder “The Hurricane” destroyed Amil Jeong Yeong Lee in 65 seconds. Meanwhile, Bruno Silva dispatched Cody Durden in stunning fashion, finishing him with a sledgehammer of an uppercut that sent the latter’s teeth flying.

Silva’s devastating knockout gives UFC Vegas 94 a boost

Brazil’s Silva displayed exceptional skill and intelligence against Durden in Saturday’s flyweight bout at the promotion’s Apex Facility in Vegas. Silva, nicknamed the “Bulldog,” earned his fourth straight victory with his TKO stoppage of the American. After a grueling first round in which Durden was the favorite, Silva charged forward and overwhelmed the American with a flurry of punches.

He eventually finished the match with some ground and pound, following a blistering uppercut that broke Durden’s chin and dropped him to the canvas. Such a finish earned Silva another $50,000 bonus, his fourth to be exact from four amazing back-to-back victories.

UFC’s prequel to UFC 304 was a blast for fans, with finishes being the buzzword. Saturday’s event was certainly a preview of the absolute firefight card the following week, by the looks of it.
