UFC 304 co-headliner Tom Aspinall’s brutal finishes inside the octagon

In his four years on the sport’s biggest stage, UFC 304 co-headliner Tom Aspinall has added significantly to his list of mixed martial arts highlights.

The interim heavyweight champion returns in the co-main event of this weekend’s pay-per-view event at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, England, where he will defend his title in a rematch against Curtis Blaydes.

Aspinall captured the title with a resounding knockout of Sergei Pavlovich in their short-lived championship bout at the UFC 295 event at Madison Square Garden last November.

While this was perhaps his most devastating performance in the UFC, it was just the latest in a string of stoppage victories for the Manchester giant, who has yet to need the scorecards inside the Octagon.

Putting himself in position to receive the late warning call-up eight months ago, Aspinall returned from injury with a bang by knocking out Marcin Tybura just 73 seconds into their main event clash in London last July.

That was Aspinall’s second finish in a main event held in the English capital, having made his headline debut the previous year against experienced contender Alexander Volkov, who finished the Briton with a gruesome Americana lock.

And before competing in the title fight, Jake Collier, Alan Baudot, Andrei Arlovski and Serghei Spivac were all struck by Aspinall’s punches or submission skills.

In preparation for Saturday’s event, the promotion has uploaded a video to their official YouTube channel showcasing Aspinall’s brutal finishes inside the Octagon.

Aspinall hopes to add more highlights to his list this weekend at UFC 304, where he will undoubtedly receive a rapturous reception as he faces his hometown fans for the first time since his professional debut in 2014.
