On today’s Tuesdays With Gorney, Rivals national recruiting director Adam Gorney provides the latest news on all four characters and makes a prediction about where they will end up.

Following an earlier commitment to Alabama did not work after Nick Saban‘s retirement, it seemed like State of Ohio could lead to the now five-star receiver from Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin. Neither program is currently in the running for Ffrench, who Texas, LSU, Miami And Tennessee as frontrunners.

The Longhorns are rumored to be the frontrunner for Ffrench, who had a phenomenal offseason, and it appears that is still the case as Texas has made him a priority for a long time and he loves the offensive system in Austin. Miami could make things interesting, especially if the offense is firing on all cylinders early in the season.

No one will dispute LSU’s success at the wide receiver position, which includes two first-round picks in Malik Nabers And Brian Thomas in April’s NFL Draft. Tennessee is recruiting incredibly well and the culture (plus the offense) seems to really intrigue Ffrench. However, Texas has long appealed to him and things just keep improving.

Prediction: Texas

I’ll never forget the first time I saw Griffin in person at the National Combine, which coincides with the All-American Bowl in San Antonio, when the five-star defensive back walked into the hotel with a Georgia sweatshirt. He looked like a Bulldogs lock then and he still does now.

The only question is whether the Savannah (Ga.) Christian Academy star, who is expected to play at the neutral-site game between Georgia and Clemsonis so sure he is headed to Athens, why hasn’t he pulled the trigger yet? Georgia has been recruiting Griffin for years and remains the top team, but Miami and USC complete his top three.

There is some mild optimism from both Miami and USC that those programs are still in the running, but it is clear that Georgia could be tough to beat. The five-star is from Pooler, Ga., which is less than a four-hour drive from Athens. UGA may develop better defensive linemen than any other program. Too much counts here.

Prediction: Georgia

A top five remains for the season, as Florida, Michigan, Notre DameOhio State and Florida round out the top programs. Owusu-Boateng has been linked to the Irish since his brother, Jeremiah Owusu-Koromoahplayed there and the five-star linebacker has shown so much interest in Notre Dame for so long.

This feels like a Notre Dame-Michigan battle, as both Midwest programs fought hard for Owusu-Boateng, who plays with a tough, fast, physical style. Leaving out Ohio State and USC would be foolish, and Florida is close to Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy, so there’s some familiarity, but it appears Notre Dame is 1A and Michigan is 1B at this point.

Prediction: Notre Dame

The five-star defensive tackle from Manchester, Ga., committed to Georgia early in his recruitment. It made perfect sense, because the Bulldogs were always the team to beat, according to coach Kirby Slim and his team made Terry a priority and the five-star hotel made the decision early on.

But an offseason visit to USC changed things when Terry reversed his commitment to the Trojans. Months later, Terry changed his mind again when he came home and settled in. Smart and the Bulldogs are still hot on Terry’s heels, but haven’t pushed for a re-commitment.

Instead, Georgia took its time, didn’t push, and it appears the Bulldogs are once again the team to beat, despite Alabama and Florida State being the top contenders. The Crimson Tide is rumored to be the team to watch in the quest to land Terry, but many still expect the Dawgs to win for him on signing day. The five-star is expected to play in Georgia’s neutral site game against Clemson this weekend.

Prediction: Georgia
