A 69-year-old male truck driver died the afternoon of October 22, 2024 after a collision between two trucks along Neythal Road in Pioneer.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by a Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) paramedic, Singapore Police said Mothership.

Aftermath of an accident

The aftermath of the fatal incident was captured on camera by an onlooker, who then uploaded the photo to the Chinese social media site Xiaohongshu.

According to the photo, it involved a purple truck, which appeared to be from California Laundry, and a gray truck.

Google Maps shows that the laundry service company is located next to the road where the accident occurred.

As a result of the collision, the front part of the purple truck was severely damaged and the windshield was shattered.

At least twelve SCDF officers could be seen gathering around the driver’s seat of the purple truck.

A traffic police officer and an ambulance were also at the scene.

In response to MothershipAccording to queries, the Singapore Police Force and the Singapore Civil Defense Force confirmed that they were notified of the incident at around 1.40pm.

SCDF used hydraulic equipment to free the deceased, who was trapped in the driver’s seat of a truck.

The other truck driver, a 45-year-old man, is assisting the police investigation.

The police investigation is ongoing.
