Tourists go crazy for small Irish town often ‘overshadowed’ by Galway city

Tourists are going wild for a town in the west of Ireland as the area often ‘overshadowed’ by Galway finally steps into the spotlight.

It’s peak tourist season in Ireland and visitors consider Lahinch in Co. Clare to be the true hidden gem of the Emerald Isle.

Lahinch is known for its ‘unique charm’ and tourists are avoiding Dublin, Galway, Cork and Belfast in favour of the smaller town which is close to some of Ireland’s top attractions.

The town is known for its fantastic surfing and is an ideal base if you want to visit iconic spots such as the Cliffs of Moher.

The town has earned its reputation as one of Europe’s favourite surfing destinations. Whether you’re a seasoned surfer, haven’t been on the waves for years or have never surfed before, Lahinch has something for everyone.

Beginners can go to surf schools that will be happy to guide them, while professionals can simply rent a surfboard.
