Preamble

If Demi Vollering was beaten at the post by Puck Pieterse, she would have the race in her hands by just 22 seconds. Today, another well-known name in the cycling calendar, Bastogne, will be visited, as the starting point for a rolling stage to the spa town of Amneville. So is this a day for a new breakaway? It is possible, even though Vollering seems to be keeping a tight rein. Will the Dutch dominance continue?
