Tour Championship: Starting times for FedEx Cup Final Round 4

Welcome to the daily ritual of Playing Through: Golf Talk Today.

The final 18 holes of the 2024 Tour Championship are here and Scottie Scheffler has a firm grip on the lead. On Saturday, he shot a 5-under 66 to move to 26-under overall and hold a five-stroke lead.

Collin Morikawa played alongside Scheffler and posted a 4-under 67. He is 21-under overall and in solo second place. The two-time major winner is closest to catching Scheffler, but even that won’t be easy.

Xander Schauffele dropped to 16th overall on the scoreboard, while Sahith Theegala moved up to 17-under and into third place after posting a 5-under 66 of his own.

The biggest comeback at the Tour Championship since the format change in 2019 came from Rory McIlroy in 2022, when he completed a six-stroke comeback to win his third FedEx Cup.

By the logic of history, Morikawa is the only one within reach. But Scheffler has shot a 71 and 73 in the last two years, so who knows what will happen.

The PGA Tour has opted to move up tee times for Round 4 due to potential inclement weather arriving in Atlanta on Sunday afternoon. Let’s take a look at the full tee times for the last 18 at East Lake.
