Tottenham star has no future at the club after this season

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has made a number of major changes at the club since his arrival last summer.

He has signed new players, removed the dead players from the squad and developed an attacking style of play.

They have started the season in poor form and the club came close to being knocked out of the Carabao Cup in midweek.

Two late goals from Djed Spence and Brennan Johnson turned the game around and prevented Tottenham Hotspur from succumbing to defeat.

Despite Postecoglou leaving defender Sergio Reguilon on the bench for that match, GiveMeSport reported that the player has no future at the club.

Reguilon has entered the final year of his contract with the club and Spurs have no plans to extend his contract or keep him at the club.

After an impressive start to his career at a young age, the Spaniard has failed to make a major impact.

He joined Tottenham with high expectations, but his time at the club has been very disappointing so far.

Reguilon spent time on loan at Atletico Madrid, Manchester United and Brentford, but none of those clubs considered signing the defender permanently.

He was linked with a move away from the club this summer, but decided to stay and see his contract expire.

Sergio Reguilon has failed miserably at Tottenham

The player has not featured for the North London club in the past two seasons, so it is surprising that he is still at the club despite not being part of the club’s future plans.

His departure from the club is certain next year and Postecoglou has made it clear in his squad that the defender will not get any playing time this season.

Reguilon needs a fresh start elsewhere and to revive his career, he first needs playing time.

The defender had the chance to leave the club in the summer, but he showed no ambition or desire to leave. It seems that he is happy with his salary, because he does not play every week.
