Tipster reiterates the Galaxy S25 series to use Snapdragon 8 Elite throughout

With a rumored January launch, the Samsung Galaxy S25 series may be just two months away, and the leaks and rumors just keep coming. The latest comes from a well-known tipster Ice universe and claims that we’ll only see one chipset option for the upcoming flagships: Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite.

Previous rumors suggested we’d see a Snapdragon/Exynos split for the S25 generation, similar to the Galaxy S24 series, but that ultimately won’t be the case as we’ve seen reports of Samsung struggling with Exynos 2500 yield rates. Regardless of the chipset situation, Samsung is expected to launch a total of four Galaxy S25 devices: the S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra in January, followed by the S25 Slim sometime in the second quarter of 2025.
