This California company turns old snowboards into skateboards

Today is National Up-Cycle Day and to celebrate we want to highlight a Southern California company that gives old landfill snowboards new life by turning them into skateboards. Alegre Boards started in a garage where the founder stared at an old snowboard collecting dust in the rafter and thought, “free your plate and your mind will follow.” What started as a fun experiment has grown into a full-fledged company and the product is sweet.
