The Witcher 4 to enter ‘full production’ soon, according to positive update from CD Projekt

The hype can officially start growing for the upcoming Witcher title, as CD Projekt has now shared, the title will soon be going into “full production.” The studio has made “substantial progress” on the title this year, which has created room for the hopium to flow in.

CD Projekt shared the news and other information about their upcoming titles during a video made for investors that highlighted the company’s many successes in the previous fiscal year. The video, which was posted to YouTube today, said: “the Pole Star team, busy with the next match in The Witcher saga, made substantial progress (this year),” with the company’s CFO Piotr Nielubowicz saying that the highly anticipated title will soon leave pre-production. The progress made in the past six months will allow CD Projekt to “(The Witcher 4) to the full production phase.”

Based on this new information, we could potentially expect a reveal in the second half of 2025, and perhaps even a release the following year.

The Witcher 4 is not the only title that CD Projekt’s studios and developers have been making progress on. Nielubowicz stated that within the company’s Boston studio, CD Projekt Red veterans and new talented developers are “laying the foundation for a different Cyberpunk game, which we know as Project Orion. That match is probably even further away than The Witcher 4where I think it will be at least 2026 for a reveal, given the company’s past track record. Keep in mind that these are just very rough estimates and they are working on the upcoming Cyberpunk sequel only started less than a year ago after the launch of the Phantom Freedom extension for Cyberpunk2077.

While talking about the expansion, Nielubowicz said: Phantom Freedom had a “solid turnover” which helped improve CD Projekt’s financial position and allowed them to invest even more resources in the development of future projects.

CD Projekt has been making slow but steady progress on their in-development games, and the hype can now officially start to flow as we get closer and closer to a possible reveal and more details about The Witcher 4.
