One of three Ghanaian cars involved in Wanderlust’s 30,000km global expedition narrowly escaped an accident after being run over by a careless driver in South Africa.

In a video shared on the group’s Facebook page, a truck driving in front of Wanderlust’s Toyota Tacoma, while overtaking another car, failed to hit the side mirror of the Tacoma, which was also trying to overtake the truck .

The split-second incident saw the brave Ghanaian driver veer off the road to save the day.

The three-month journey, which aims to travel through 30 countries by road, started in Accra in September and has completed the first part of the journey.

The group has already traveled through 15 countries and is still on track to arrive in Dubai, where the expedition will conclude with some fun activities.

In July this year, Wanderlust completed a 10,000km overland journey from Ghana to London.

With the aim of putting Ghana on the world stage, Wanderlust, in partnership with the Ghana Tourism Authority, continues to market Ghana as a travel destination throughout its journey.
