The Umbrella Academy Deluxe Edition Comics Collection is 75% off at Amazon

The fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy just dropped on Netflix on August 8, but if you’ve already streamed all six episodes and want more, you’ll want to check out the original comic book series it’s based on. Umbrella Academy Graphic Novel Deals at Amazon

The Deluxe Edition of Apocalypse Suite is on sale for $20.72 (was $80). It’s listed as “temporarily out of stock” on Amazon, but you can still place an order. This premium hardcover edition is bound in leatherette and comes with a satin ribbon bookmark, foil stamping, a This hardcover edition comes with a leatherette binding, satin ribbon bookmark, a slipcase with eye-catching art, and a lithograph by Umbrella Academy illustrator Gabriel Bá. The lithograph is housed in a leatherette portfolio.

Volumes 2 and 3 in the Deluxe Edition format are considerably more expensive than Volume 1, but the hardcover Library editions are all available for around $20 each. The Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse Suite retails for $19; The Umbrella Academy: Dallas retails for $21.69; and The Umbrella Academy: Hotel Oblivion retails for $22.49. All three have a list price of $40.

You can also get the Deluxe Edition of You Look Like Death: Tales from the Umbrella Academywhich compiles the first six issues of the Tales from The Umbrella Academy spin-off series. That book retails for $40.75, down from its usual price of $80.

The Umbrella Academy Box Set contains the three main parts of the story in paperback format: Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse Suite, Umbrella Academy: Dallas, and Umbrella Academy: Hotel Oblivion. It also includes an exclusive double-sided poster. The box set retails for $56, but while it’s on sale, Amazon has knocked $24 off that price.

If you’re unfamiliar with The Umbrella Academy, it’s the story of seven super-powered siblings brought together by an eccentric inventor created by My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way. The story begins with a strange occurrence: 43 children are born to mothers who are apparently not pregnant until the moment they go into labor. Inventor Reginald Hargreeves sets out to find as many children as possible and eventually adopts seven of them, making them the titular Umbrella Academy. After a childhood spent honing their powers, the story picks up with the group 10 years after they split up, with Hargreeves’ unexpected death.

It remains to be seen whether Netflix will adapt one of the existing spinoff comics or create a brand new story set in the Umbrella Academy universe. If Netflix does move forward with a spinoff, the streamer will also have to decide whether Umbrella Academy showrunner Steve Blackman will be involved. Blackman was recently accused of creating a toxic work environment. He has denied the allegations, which include accusations of bullying and making sexist comments.
