The Sims 4 Artist Studio and Storybook Nursery DLC coming next week

After teasing the latest season of content coming to The Sims 4 last week, EA has now provided more details on the upcoming DLC releases: the Storybook Nursery Kit and the Artist Studio Kit, both releasing on Thursday, September 19.

It starts with the Artist Studio Kit for The Sims 4, which, as you’ve probably guessed, contains a number of new furnishings and decorative trinkets that can be mixed and matched to create a suitably chaotic space for Sims to unleash their creativity.

“Place your new easel in the center of your studio,” EA writes, “surrounded by the tools of the trade – a variety of brushes, colorful paint pots, and new inspiring still life objects that Sims can paint from reference or flex their creativity from.” Expect drawers and shelves, tubes of paint, sketchbooks, palettes, plus a new tablet and woodworking table.

As for the Storybook Nursery Kit, it’s been developed in collaboration with renowned Sims 4 creator SixamCC. The theme here is “balancing the joy of a new arrival with elevated charm,” and the included objects are all designed to look as if they’ve been “passed down through generations and will be passed down to generations to come, creating a legacy of elegance within every family.”

“Bring your newborns, babies, and toddlers into a space that combines sophistication and whimsy with carefully crafted toys, alluring wallpaper, a dreamy mobile, and more,” EA’s blurb continues, “available in colors ranging from rich and moody dark hues to delicate pastels from a bygone era.” It will also include “ornamental cribs, bassinets, and beds, a large canopy, and a tasteful chandelier.”

Expect The Sims 4’s Storybook Nursery Kit and Artist Studio Kit DLC to each cost around £4.99 / $4.99 USD when they release next Thursday, September 19, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Mac, and PC (via the EA App, Steam, and the Epic Games Store).

As for the future, EA previously announced that the free Reaper’s Rewards event is coming to The Sim 4 base game on September 24, and that the still-mysterious Life and Death expansion pack is coming on October 31. More details will be revealed on October 3.
