We have heard several reports that Apple will soon launch a new MacBook Pro with M4. According to the latest supply chain rumors, the next laptop will hit the market before the end of October. Like the new iPad mini, Apple could launch the latest MacBook Pro in a surprise way, or the company could host an event in October to drop the news.

The new report comes from Digitimes and claims that the main Mac assembler, Compaq, significantly increased production in September. In addition, two Mac component suppliers, Jarllytec and Shin Zu Shing, reported higher sales last month. Additional orders from Mac component suppliers make sense as Apple gears up for an October launch.

Apple launched the latest MacBook Pro at the Scary Fast event in October last year, so the timeline aligns with the company launching new models.

The supply chain rumors lend some credibility to the leaked MacBook Pro box and indicate that the specs on the box may be correct. Some said the wallpaper was older than it should have been, but the iPad mini 7 also had an older wallpaper, which removed that bit of doubt.

If so, that would mean the 2024 MacBook Pro would have the M4 chip, which is said to have a 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 16GB of RAM (a welcome upgrade from the 8GB found in the current MacBook Pro is offered), has 512 GB. storage (or more, depending on configuration) and three Thunderbolt 4 ports.

If those specs are correct, the M4 MacBook Pro sounds like a powerful machine worthy of the “Pro” name. Of course, we’ll have to wait until Apple makes the laptop official before jumping to conclusions, but it’s easy to imagine that a new MacBook Pro is one of the best laptops and the best Macbooks.
