This one might be true.

While media tours and fight weigh-ins often involve seemingly vicious confrontations between the leading fighters, the animosity between Dricus Du Plessis and Israel Adesanya seems quite authentic.

The elite middleweights have been mouthing off against each other for a few years now and now that Du Plessis has captured the 185-pound title that Adesanya held in two bouts (2019-2023), a long-awaited showdown is finally on the cards.

They will compete for the championship at UFC 305, a 12-fight show at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, culminating in a five-fight pay-per-view portion airing live at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

It will be Du Plessis’ first title defense since dethroning Sean Strickland, the man who defeated Adesanya, via split decision at UFC 297 in January. Adesanya has not fought since his shocking unanimous decision loss to Strickland at UFC 293 last September.

The B/R Fight Team is in a position to take over the show and present a real-time list of the definitive winners and losers. See what we come up with and leave a thought or two of your own in the comments.
