The Maw: What’s New in PC Gaming This Week

There have been plenty of strange omens of late. Chickens are being born with four wings, like horrible feathered dragonflies. Cows are screaming at the sky and then producing bile instead of milk. Most horrifying of all, Aldi has discontinued their Village Bakery Seeded Medium Sliced Loaf (400g) and replaced it with the much inferior Village Bakery Lightly Seeded Loaf (800g). Throughout the chaos, the Maw merely grins, though it does seem to have a few more seeds between its teeth than last week. Perhaps the Maw will deign to spit out a single seed to us, from which we can grow the sapling of a new world and finally leave this accursed, Medium Loafless existence. Until then, here are this week’s PC game releases.

Today, Monday September 2nd, we grace ourselves with the Commandos-esque tactics of Sumerian Six, with a demo that is still available at the time of writing. Tuesday September 3rd brings Supermassive’s foray into the Dead By Daylight universe with The Casting Of Frank Stone. Wednesday September 4th delivers the roguelite Necroking and Age Of Mythology: Retold. Thursday September 5th’s loot includes the immersive sim Corpus Edax and the fishing adventure Selfloss. Finally, Friday September 6th brings the spooky Soulslike Perennial Order and Ace Attorney Investigations Collection.

As always, this selection is just a light sprinkling of seeds on the 800g loaf that is the bountiful harvest of PC gaming, so don’t be shy about dropping additional recommendations straight into the Maw. There’s also a bread blog there, you know! Um, sorry. Liveblog.
