Track cycling program Olympic Games 2024

Track cycling, a sport known for its speed, strategy and above all, sheer power. This discipline is held at the Velodrome in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. The races range from short sprints to long distance races and everything in between, whether it is one-on-one or in a small peloton. In Paris, the best track cyclists in the world compete for gold, silver and bronze in various events, including the Sprint, Keirin and Team Pursuit.

What makes track cycling so fascinating is the combination of explosive power and technical finesse. Races are often decided at the last moment, with every millisecond counting. Expectations for the Netherlands are high. The country has a rich history in track cycling and hopes to once again achieve success at the Olympic Games in Paris with riders such as Harrie Lavreysen and Jeffrey Hoogland.
