The flagship Vivo X200 Pro also comes in a ‘Mini’ version

The Vivo X200 series will go official on October 14 in China. Two smartphones are expected to go official at the event, the Vivo X200 and Vivo X200 Pro, as well as a third phone that we didn’t know about until now. The Vivo X200 Pro mini is also reportedly coming, as a small flagship.

The Vivo X200 Pro mini is real and it will be a small flagship from the company

This was more or less confirmed by Jia Jingdong, a Vivo brand manager. He shared a post on Weibo, welcoming a new brand ambassador for the company, Zheng Qingwen. She is a tennis player and the winner of the Olympic gold in Paris 2024.

Weibo does share models of devices that posts have been shared through, and in this case it’s the “Vivo X200 Pro mini.” That basically confirms the phone’s existence, and it’s safe to assume it’ll go official on October 14.

However, we don’t really have any additional information about the device. However, based on the name, we expect it to be more powerful than the Vivo X200. It could be the same as the Vivo X200 Pro but smaller or slightly inferior to that device.

The phone is expected to feature Sony’s brand new LYTIA sensor

A source has reportedly revealed that the Sony LYT-818 camera sensor will be used on both the Vivo X200 Pro and Vivo X200 Pro mini. This is the camera sensor that Sony announced fairly recently, a successor to the LYT-808 found in the OnePlus 12.

That’s a 1/1.28-inch sensor, for those wondering, and it will have a higher signal-to-noise ratio and lower power consumption. However, triple cameras are expected on those two smartphones.

As for the processor, well, we still don’t know for sure. Both the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 are possibilities. Both chips are coming soon and the Vivo X200 phones will be among the first to use them.

If we had to guess, we’d say the Vivo X200 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400. The Vivo X200 Pro, on the other hand, will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. We’re not sure about the Vivo X200 Pro mini, though.
