The ‘cycle of death’ continues in Kurram as tribes use automatic weapons for heavy fire

Violence in Lower Kurram has escalated as heavy automatic weapons fire between rival groups continues.

At least 15 people have been killed and 25 injured in the ongoing clashes, according to police sources. The violence broke out after an attack on passenger vehicles, leading to a series of retaliatory confrontations between the two sides.

In response to the deteriorating security situation, educational institutions across Kurram district were closed for the day. Authorities have urged residents to stay indoors as tensions remain high.

The conflict shows no signs of easing, with both sides continuing to attack each other. The situation is being closely monitored by local police as efforts to de-escalate the violence continue.
